Ortadoğu Bearing Industry (ORS) is one of Europe’s most important bearing manufacturers. Founded in 1983 in Polatlı, Ankara, ORS Bearing is a leading bearing producer. The ORS factory in Polatlı, covering 80,000 m², is the world’s first bearing manufacturer to hold the ISO 9000 certification.

When ORS was established in 1983, it received technical support under a licensing agreement from the Austrian company STEYR WAELZLAGER. After SKF acquired STEYR in 1989, the licensing agreement continued with SKF Austria until the spring of 1991. Following the expiration of the licensing agreement, ORS has conducted all engineering, technical development, product design, mold/tool design, process development, and technical investment activities entirely with its own engineers.
